Inclusive Schools

The list below are schools that are inclusive of children who have been diagnosed with HFA (high functioning autism) and or Asperger’s syndrome. Sometimes children are asked to attend with a facilitator if needed.

Dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, speech and language delays, motor difficulties, sensory difficulties, and Asperger’s Syndrome. Some of their students do not have any of these challenges, but just need a small supportive environment in which to learn.Children are carefully assessed and individual literacy, numeracy, perceptual and/or behaviour targets are drawn up, appropriate to each child’s specific needs. Progress is closely monitored and programmes are reviewed each term.The school offers some specialized therapy, including speech and language therapy and occupational therapy, on an individual basis or in small groups. Therapists consult for Oakley House School in their private capacity and therapy is therefore an extra cost to parents. However, therapy takes place at the school during the school day.
