PROFESSIONAL FUNDRAISER - VERONICA PRONK

Veronica has been a Professional Fundraiser for the past 14 years and has concentrated her efforts within the Disability Sector. She is a member of the South African Institute of Fundraising and is currently the Chairperson of the Western Cape Branch and Committee Member of SAIF National Council.

Veronica is a mother of two children, a son aged 7 years and a daughter aged 2 years.

ABOUT AUTISM WESTERN CAPE
Autism Western Cape was previously known as the Society for Autistic Children Western Cape and was founded in 1967.

LEGAL STATUS: Registration Number 2003/014399/08, incorporated under the Companies Act, 1973 (Act 61 of 1973), and the Company is a company limited by guarantee, incorporated under section 21 of the Act.
NON PROFIT REGISTRATION: Autism Western Cape is registered as a Non-Profit Organisation (003-230- NPO)
TAX EXEMPT STATUS:

Autism Western Cape is a registered Public Benefit Organisation (PBO930007695)

In 2003, the Society for Autistic Children was restructured into a new legal structure, governed by an independent Board of Directors with the emphasis of providing services based on sound business principles, working in close collaboration with Government Departments and partners in the disability sector and private sector.

The new legal structure was included under the Companies Act as a Section 21 Company, tax exempt, Non-Profitable Organisation, governed under the Articles of Association, which demands full accountability of the Organisation and Directors by law.
